To participate in transformations of form, we are engaged in several key production processes, which enhance value in processing the shape, surface quality, dimensional precision and throughput times for further downstream processing, for instance of precision parts used in the automotive industry. We possess strong competence and expertise in reducing part costs through the formation of part families, conversion to more affordable production processes as well as provide tailor-made upstream goods to advance customer productivity.

SOURCING
Prior to sourcing goods and developing customized products in remote locations, we do extensive pre-analysis considering the potential logistics solutions from the supply region to the place where the goods are consumed. With our expertise and vast experience in transportation combined with our strong forwarding partners, we are able to assess the risk of future transporaton bottlenecks like seasonal supply constraints, extreme weather conditions and local policy changes to make optimized choices on the supply side to guarantee even the most demanding delivery mandates of our customers.

STORAGE
Just as the locations between the production site of the goods and the consumption centres typically do not align, the timing of production and consumption is often disjoint as well. To meet ever more demanding just-in-time needs of our customers, we strategically store raw materials, sem-finished and finished products in accordance with customer requirements in diverse locations in order to guarantee on-time-delivery. We store products at Mellon Technology’s, producer and third-party-owned facilities with the pursuit of reliably, efficiently and responsively deliver to our customers, whenever they need new supplies.

SHIPPING
We cooperate with various freight forwarders and shipping companies to guarantee optimal delivery and logistics management. We use our knowledge and third-party resources to ensure safe loading of all types of goods from hard commodities to vulnerable high-precision products of all kinds of dimensions. Our space allocations with the top ocean-carriers ensures an uninterrupted supply chain, backed also by our policy requirements of using only modern, reliable vessels. All vessels must be Ship Inspection and Reporting (SIRE) certificated with at least two inspections and approvals within the previous six months.

CUSTOMIZED LOGISTICS
Whether by plane, train, truck, inland vessel or at sea - our tightly networked supply routes with intermodal services ensure both the most economically We make full use of made-to-measure transport and supply chain solutions regardless of our customer location, cargo dimensions, delivery volumes or complexity of the task. By in-depth analysis of the logistic needs of our customers, we accordingly design the most efficient connections to their defined locations, ranging from shipping ports to door-to-door services like delivering directly to their industrial facilities.

RAW MATERIAL PROCESSING
We source minor processed raw material covering a wide range of commodities and processing techniques with major interest in the steel, aluminum and copper industries. We purchase metal products for further processing and value-adding, store or ship for direct sale to customers. Further processing involves long-term commitment and exposure to trading risks that include commodity price variations, project development as well as changes in sovereign legislation. We offer the necessary pricing structures and service excellence that create value for our customers throughout the supply chain.

EXTRUSION/DRAWING
Extrusion is a production process of shaping raw material, such as aluminum, by forcing it to flow through a shaped opening in a die, which can provide tremendous reductions in cross sectional area of the working material. Extruded material emerges as an elongated piece with the same profile as the die opening. For smaller cross sectional reductions e.g. round shapes like wire, bar and tubes, the metal is pulled through a die (Drawing), limited by the yield strength of the working material. Both processes, help improve precision and workability of raw material, facilitate further processing and create cost savings compared to more advanced and costly processing.

STRAIGHTENING/PEELING
Straightening and peeling are production processes, occuring relatively early in the metalworking process. High precision straightening of round bars provides the surface quality necessary for further processing and ensures a large working range with regards to dimension and material strength. Peeling as a succeeding process then produces the smooth surfaces and critical dimensions for downstream parts processing, reduces throughput times and substantially improves production productivity. Based on automatic production, we successfully produce precision bright steel bars with slight dimensional and ovality deviations and an excellent surface quality, as well as other metals of all kind.

FORGING
Forging has been used as a metalforming process for milleninia and is a major worldwide industry today due to its diverse applications in various industries, where components require high strength. Processing raw material through forging is a very competitive process to form any kind of metal into the desired shape while simultaneously enhancing mechanical properties, guaranteeing greater lifespan and reliability. We offer solutions for high quality forging parts processed (cold, warm, hot forging) with up to very large dimensions and weights including all major metals (tempered steels, stainless steels, aluminum etc.).

CASTING
Casting can have significant advantages over other manufacturing processes, which often lead to major cost savings, not only in the part price itself but also in the overall cost of production. When you cast a part, you can create complex net shapes, including external threads and complex internal features with minimal draft angles—minimizing secondary operations from raw material to finished part and with fast production cycle times. Combination of multiple parts into a single part is possible, eliminating further assembly operations and lowering labor costs, with the added benefits of simplified stock control and greater component consistency.

MACHINING
We perform all kinds of machining operations from turning, milling, drilling to all kind of miscellaneous operations like burnishing and final assembling. Components are specifically designed and produced for their respective application in the industrial sector. In the pre-development and production stage, we pursue comprehensive communication with customers, supported by our technical experts with years of experience in the respective fields. We retain our competitive edge by continually conducting performance/productivity analysis in order to perpetually improve price per value ratio for customers.
